Maclay to sell Thistle Pub Company
Thistle Pub Company III, the operator of seven freehold pubs in Scotland and managed by Maclay Inns, has been put up for sale.
The company was set up in 2006 under the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS). The holding period of the EIS has now run out and, in a new statement, it was confirmed that the business is up for sale.
The aim is to sell Thistle Pub Company III before Maclay Inns’ contract to manage the business expires in mid 2013.
Thistle’s sites include the Clockwork Beer Company in Glasgow; the Wheel Inn in Scone, Perth; the Dog House in Balloch, Loch Lomond; and the Steading in Edinburgh.
