Budweiser uses augmented reality for new on-trade FA Cup Final ticket competition

Budweiser brewer AB InBev UK has launched a major on-pack promotion which uses augmented reality to give drinkers a chance to win VIP FA Cup final tickets.

In on-trade outlets there will be a limited edition bottle sleeve which carries the promotion. Consumers download the Budweiser app onto their smart phone, then having purchased their drink, scan a bottle or branded pint glass to reveal a video which confirms instantly whether they have won FA Cup Final tickets.

The promotion will also run on 11 different Budweiser bottle and can packs in the off trade.

Other prizes include Budweiser bottle openers, limited edition FA Cup Umbro Kit Bags, limited edition footballs and branded pint glasses.
