Managed pub operator TCG has recognised 17 individuals working in its pubs and bars as well as operations and head office teams, at its annual Awards, held earlier this week in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Simon Meighan, general manager of Off the Wall in Chester, was given TCG’s Outstanding Achievement Award. He was given the top accolade after consistently delivering high sales and profit over many years at different sites,  and most recently outperforming other operators in the town’s very competitive market.

TCG chief operating officer Nigel Wright said, “It was a real pleasure to bring the whole company together to celebrate the achievements of our top performers in 2012 and to look ahead to the opportunities for our business in 2013.

“All our businesses aim to be the very best of their type in their local market, and our awards winners and nominees are, without doubt, some of the most talented individuals in the pub industry.

“In the year ahead we will be setting the bar even higher. We have significant plans for targeted investment in our estate, across the business we are introducing new food menus and from coffee to cask beer to cocktails, we are refreshing our drinks range to offer our customers even better value and quality.”
