Cloverleaf duo to stay in industry after Greene King exit
Asked if they were looking to take other roles in the industry, Winder told M&C Report: “We certainly intend to. I think we both feel we have too much energy, too many ideas, to hang up our boots.
“There are a number of people who have expressed an interest in having a chat with us.”
Cloverleaf was sold to Greene King with 12 sites for £55.8m in 2011 and 16 outlets are currently trading across northern England and the Midlands. Among the future pub openings are locations in Team Valley, Gateshead, and its first Scottish site, on the Phoenix Retail Park near Paisley.
Winder said: “They have a thriving business and a very good pipeline.”
Greene King said it was “very grateful” for Winder and Douglas’s contribution and was delighted with Cloverleaf’s progress.
