Cobra is continuing on its drive to become a top 10 UK beer brand by launching a new font to pubs.

The “sleek and sophisticated” font, which has received positive feedback from consumers, will roll out between now and 2013. It follows on from new glassware introduced earlier this year and a £4m TV, cinema and digital advertising campaign that commenced in March.

According to the Cobra Beer Partnership, consumers perceived the new look Cobra as being more premium, stylish and modern, stating that they are more likely to purchase Cobra as a result.

Adrian Davey, managing director of the Cobra Beer Partnership, said: “The stylish new font is a signal of intent, strengthening Cobra’s distinctive presence on bars throughout the UK as we aim to fulfill our ambition to become a top 10 beer in the UK."

Davey added: "The reaction to Cobra’s redesign has been fantastic and this font reaffirms our commitment to quality, consistency and providing a beer that can be enjoyed on any occasion.”

Originally imported from Bangalore, Cobra is brewed to a traditional Indian recipe but with a little less gas to give it a smoother taste.
