The Restaurant Group (TRG) has acquired the freehold interests of four of the pubs it operates under its Brunning & Price (B&P) and Home Counties pub divis-ions from Enterprise Inns, for a sum believed to be in excess of £5m, M&C Report has learnt.

The deal includes the freeholds of the White Hart in Chipstead, Surrey, the Tally Ho in Eversley and the Leather Bottle in Hook, both in Hampshire.

The move by Enterprise Inns is thought to be part of its strategy to sell between 50 and 100 “exceptional” sites — “the majority” in the next six months. It is thought that AG&G acted on the deal for the four freeholds.

Meanwhile, B&P is to open a further two sites this year to take its estate to 32.

The group, which is believed to be close to appointing a deputy managing director, will open the Woolbridge near Ironbridge in Shropshire, this October. A month later, it will open the Architect at Roodee in Chester.
