The beer will be available in selected outlets only, served direct from traditional 25-litre oak barrels from now until the end of the year. It will be served by brand ambassadors who will explain the history behind the beer.
Owner Miller Brands is hoping that the activity will engage consumers and generate greater awareness of the brand.
“Pilsner Urquell is an authentic Czech beer for beer lovers who appreciate quality, tradition and authenticity and should be stocked by outlets looking to profit from the trend towards world beer,” explained Lucy Jordan, director of customer marketing.
