Hall and Woodhouse head brewer Toby Heasman awarded brewer of the year

Hall and Woodhouse head brewer Toby Heasman was given the top accolade of brewer of the year at the All-Party Parliamentary Annual Beer Awards Dinner last night.

Heasman was rewarded for managing a major brewhouse investment at the Hall and Woodhouse brewery.

A Lifetime Achievement award was given to former managing director of Everards Nick Lloyd.

A new award for sommelier of the year was given to Nigel Sadler.

A new pubwatch scheme of the year award, sponsored by Diageo, was give to Northampton.

And Beer Drinker of the year was given to Peter Hendy, commissioner for London Transport for his statement over the Olympics. Hendy urged commuters to go to the pub if they faced transport problems during the Olympics.
