Thwaites brewer celebrates 37 years with his own brew
Thwaites head brewer Steve Fielding is celebrating leaving the business after 37 years with his own beer, Stevie’s Wonder Brew.

The Lancaster-based company brewed a surprise 5.2% ABV bottled beer for Fielding, which features the man himself and is a homage to some of his finest creations.

Fielding has been responsible for brewing the award-winning Lancaster Bomber, Double Century, a beer that was brewed to mark the brewery’s bi-centenary an-niversary in 2007, and Wainwright, the popular golden ale, which is now one of the UK’s fastest growing cask ales. He also won the highly prestigious Parliamentary Brewer of the Year Award
for 2006.

Fielding will remain involved with Thwaites on a consultancy basis and
lend his brewing expertise to various special projects
