The Summer Bottled campaign includes a 10-second TV advert, which airs on Friday (4 May). It will be complemented by press, outdoor and digital support.
For the digital campaign, three top DJs have been invited to ‘bottle their summer’ by making a track exclusively from their favourite summer sounds. DJ Food, Jaguar Skills and DJ Yoda have each put their unique twist on what summer means to them.
Annette Middleton, Carling senior brand manager at Molson Coors, said: “With its clear, refreshing taste and a hint of natural citrus, Carling Zest is the ideal summer drink. The tracks that DJ Food, Jaguar Skills and DJ Yoda have produced really capture the essence and spirit of the product.
Middleton added: “Our aim was for a fun, summery literal interpretation of all the great things that our British summer is about, something that they’ve captured perfectly.”
Music fans will also be able to bottle their own summer using the Carling Zest app from late May. With 32 summer sounds and matching videos at their finger tips, users will be able to bottle their summer sounds into a two minute track and share it with their friends via social media sites.
In addition, fans will be able to submit their track for the chance to win one of three pairs of V Festival tickets – as judged by the DJs.
Launched in March, Carling Zest has a light citrus flavour and 2.8% ABV. It is available in bottles until the end of September.
