The Love GB — Love Great Beer campaign aims to make the most of the expected surge in patriotism around the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Euro 2012 and the Olympics.
British-themed prizes, including tickets to sporting events such as Glorious Goodwood and T20 cricket matches, are up for grabs.
The Bury St Edmunds-based brewer will also champion a range of ales as part of the campaign.
Other prizes include Goodwood Revival and Festival of Speed tickets, Aviva Premiership rugby union match tickets, Old English Inns mini-breaks and free meals at Hungry Horse pubs.
The campaign will be promoted at bars through bar-runners, drip mats and posters. The PoS will direct customers to a Love GB website where they will find out instantly whether or not they have won a prize.
Cask ale London Glory and specially-crafted guest beers Celebration Pale Ale and Greene King Personal Best will carry the promo alongside flagship brands Greene King IPA, Old Speckled Hen and Abbot Ale.
Celebration Pale Ale has been brewed to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee, while Greene King Personal Best will be available in July and August.
Dom South, marketing director at Greene King Brewing & Brands, said: “Everybody knows this summer has the potential to be great. However, the key to real success will be converting footfall to sales and that’s where Love GB will give pubs all the support they need.”
