Stonegate pubs in menu revamp

Stonegate Pub Company is launching its spring/summer menus across the majority of its 560-strong estate.

Yates’s pubs will go live with its new menu on 20 March followed by the Great Traditional estate a week later. The Classic Inns menu launched last week.

As well as adding lighter summer-inspired dishes to the menus, Stonegate has reflected several current trends in the sector. The new Classic Inns menu includes a bigger grills section, particularly in pubs in more residential areas, to encourage families to venture out for affordable family dining instead of staying at home.

The trend for sharing is also reflected in a sausage platter including the Bloody Mary, beef & ale, pork & juniper and caramelised red onion. Yates’s regulars will benefit from an enhanced burger section — one of the best-selling items on the menu.

Healthy dishes such as porridge with fruit compote, super food salads and eight-inch subs with a range of fillings. The Great Traditional estate offers five pies, one of which is the Boozy Beef Pie created by one of the company’s own chefs, Keiron Wright at the Percy Lambert in Weybridge.

“We’ve introduced dishes that will reflect the change of seasons, specific to that segment,” said head of food Perry Huntley. “In addition to introducing new dishes, we’ve also concentrated on ensuring that our popular items are the very best they can be by working with our suppliers to source quality products time after time.
