Nick Gibson, who runs the successful Draper’s Arms in Islington, took on the Enterprise lease from Gordon Ramsay Holdings (GRH) last June and reopened the following month.
At the time Gibson said: “I don’t know why Gordon Ramsay failed — it is a good site. I’ll be paying 100% attention.”
As did Ramsay two years ago, Gibson put the pub’s failure down to location. The pub, which can hold up to 90 covers, is located in a residential area away from Chiswick’s high street. He told the Publican’s Morning Advertiser’s sister publication Big Hospitality: “We were a great pub in every sense. People loved the food and drink, but sadly not enough people made their way here.”
