“The site can be used to educate staff about different aspects of wine service and there is no fee or sign-up requirement,” Clare Griffiths, Accolade’s European marketing director, told the PMA.
The site draws upon both external expertise and Accolade’s six-strong Insights team and offers special features to those who sign up, including a regular prize draw of £1,000 of stock and the ability to order quality point-of-sale material for Stowells and Jack Rabbit, two key Accolade brands.
Users who sign up can also ask direct questions and receive regular newsletters.
The launch of the website will be supported by a £50,000 advertising campaign, including trade, telesales and point-of-sale in cash and carry depots.
