Staffordshire-based pub operator Sunset Taverns has taken its estate to eight, with the acquisition of the Huntsman Inn, in Stoke-on-Trent, from Admiral Taverns.

The Huntsman Inn is situated near the junction of Westport Road and Hull Road on the edge of Burslem, Staffordshire, in a mixed retail/commercial area.

The property comprises a 70-cover bar, 40-cover first-floor function room

and two-bedroom owner's accommodation.

Sunset Taverns, which is understood to be owned by overseas investors, acquired the freehold of the Huntsman Inn for an undisclosed sum off an asking price of £110,000.

Last February, it acquired the freehold of the Duke William pub in Burslem.

Gavin Wright, of Christie+Co, which handled the sale on behalf of Admiral, said: "We are pleased to have sold the Huntsman Inn to Sunset Taverns, as it plans to refurbish the property throughout and keep it as a public house."
