Property consultant GVA has acquired leisure property agent Humberts Leisure, to form a new leisure firm - GVA Humberts Leisure.
The merger will help GVA's hotels and leisure team, which has been focused on hotels, tap into a wider market, including pubs and licensed property. The deal is set to complete at the end of the month.
GVA specialises in agency, planning, development and regeneration, rating, building consultancy, investment, management, valuation and corporate recovery.
Humberts is known for its skills in consultancy and advice in leisure business and property.
"The move introduces a number of highly impressive specialist leisure chartered surveyors, planners and consultants to further supplement our existing team," said GVA chief executive Rob Bould. "The leisure sector requires a highly specialised skills set and it is important to us that we can deliver to our clients the best possible advice in these challenging times."
John Anderson, executive chairman of Humberts Leisure, added: "We're delighted to have agreed the merger with GVA as this provides us with a strong platform from which to drive our growth strategy. Integration of the two complementary leisure teams is a tremendous enhancement to our national leisure service."
