A London pub has won a year's supply of Heinz sachets after submitting the most entries in the Heinz Big Draw competition.
To enter, children needed to pick up a Heinz Big Draw activity kit from participating sites, including pubs, and design their own sachets using the templates and crayons provided.
Split into under-four, five to eight and nine to twelve age groups, the winning trio are Ellie Tempest from the Wirral, Merseyside, Paige Frost from Witham, Essex, and Gemma Leask from Stanley, Perthshire, whose designs will be used on two sachets.
The winners received £150 each and they and six runners up were given wall canvases of their designs. A smaller monetary reward was given to each runner up.
The Nightingale in Balham has also won wall canvases of the four winning designs — sachets of Heinz ketchup, mayonnaise, HP brown and salad cream.
The newly-designed sachets will be available in the on-trade next summer.
The competition was launched following research which revealed that the condiment range was more important to customers than the alcohol and soft drink brands served.
