Home counties pub company Miller's Collection has appointed an executive chef to oversee the food offer at its three pubs.

Kevin Chandler, currently head chef at the Anchor Inn at Lower Froyle in Hampshire, will step into the role.

The company's other pubs are the Queen's Arms in East Garston, Berkshire, and the Peat Spade Inn at Longstock, Hampshire.

Chandler believes in locally sourced products, having built up a network of good local suppliers in Hampshire including locally foraged mushrooms and locally shot game.

He trained with Marcus Wareing at Petrus and Jason Atherton at Maze and has also worked under Stephen terry.

His first head chef role was at National Dining Pub of the Year the Pear Tree Inn in Whitley, Wiltshire, aged 25.
