"What's the matter lagerboy?" taunted the unofficial beer of Halloween Hobgoblin at the Stella Artois Draught Masters 2010 last night.
Marston's hijacked the awards ceremony at Old Billingsgate with two goblins and a group of protesters holding placards with slogans such as: "Dodge the draught" and "Afraid of the dark?".
The Hobgoblin was projected onto the wall and, with a pointed finger, proclaimed: "Pour something you can taste lagerboys".
Hobgoblin's Justin Way said: "We couldn't resist this one, not only does Hobgoblin pack more taste into a pint than any lager, but there's no pretension, it's just good beer.
"We'll not be having a competition to pour the perfect pint, we'll leave that to the lager boys."
One Hobgoblin source added: "We got a projection up there though not for a great length of time. Stella security guards were not impressed."
Stella Artois said it did not wish to comment.
In the run up to Halloween the Hobgoblin will be out and about around London and Oxford giving away samples of beer and T-shirts.
