Yorkshire brewer Timothy Taylor has gained "Crystal Mark" status for its pub tenancy agreements to show they are written in clear, plain English.
The company's tied estate manager Andrew Dakin asked Steven Scott, of law firm Gordons, to ensure its updated agreements reached the standard.
Dakin said: "Tenancy agreements can be daunting documents so when it came to updating them we thought it was a great opportunity to set about achieving the Crystal Mark standard.
"We're very pleased with the work that Steven has done as we have already started to use the new agreement.
"By making the tenancy agreement more accessible, it enhances the already strong relationships we have with our tenants."
Keighley-based Timothy Taylor — famed for brewing Madonna's favourite beer, Landlord — operates 29 pubs, including 20 tenancies.
