Wetherspoons to lose finance director and chief operating officer
JD Wetherspoon has announced that Keith Down, the group's finance director, will be leaving the company "in due course".
Down joined Wetherspoons in January 2008 from Tesco, where he held the same position. He was also the group's company secretary.
The managed pub company said Kirk Davis, its deputy finance director, will take over the top finance function on an interim basis.
Wetherspoons also announced that its chief operating officer Paul Harbottle was leaving. It said chief executive John Hutson would assume his responsibilities "on an ongoing basis".
In a statement Tim Martin, chairman of JD Wetherspoon, said: "The board would like to thank Keith and Paul for their hard work and contribution to JD Wetherspoon over recent years.
"We wish them well in their future careers."
