Daniel Thwaites, the regional brewer and pub operator, has unveiled a brace of new independent directors.
Rupert Thompson, the former chief executive of Refresh UK, and Arabella Yerburgh, a member of the controlling family, will join the board in a non-executive capacity.
The appointments follow the departure of James Dean, who is stepping down after 10 years on the Thwaites' board.
Thwaites said Thompson had been recruited given his "huge experience of beer brand marketing and operations in the pub and drinks industry".
He stepped down at Refresh in 2008 when the business was sold to Marston's. He currently chairs the Beer Academy and is a non-executive director at Thatchers Cider Company.
The company said that Yerburgh brought a background in multi-disciplinary design consultancy and interior design as well as experience in brand consultancy and marketing.
Ann Yerburgh, chairman, thanked Dean for his contribution and said: "We look forward eagerly to the contribution that Rupert Thompson and Arabella Yerburgh will make."
