Geronimo Inns is offering a range of old English dishes for British Food Fortnight, which runs to 3 October.

The company is offering dishes such as crown roast of lamb; stargazy pie; kedgeree; roast partridge with wild mushrooms; pot-roasted pheasant; a sharing beef Wellington; Sam's Eccles cakes and Lancashire cheese across its 25 sites.

Charcuterie boards, bread baskets filled with wheat and rye rolls, home-made vegetable crisps and a selection of British autumnal vegetables such as parsnips, swede and turnips will complete the food offering.

Oysters are also on the Geronimo menu for both Fridays during British Food Fortnight.

Geronimo pubs also hosted a Harvest Party this week to showcase the British Food Fortnight offer and launch the improved Geronimo Club loyalty scheme, which offers members rewards such as nibbles with every bottle of wine and invitations to special Geronimo Club events.

New research from foodservice group Brakes shows 79% of consumers thought it was important for pub caterers to support their region's food growers, producers and farmers.

Seventy-five per cent also thought it was important for pubs to serve seasonal food.
