Faucet Inn Limited, the London and south-east multiple headed by Steve Cox, is set to to buy six pubs from Mitchells & Butlers (M&B) for an undisclosed price, the Morning Advertiser has learnt.
The pubs are in London with the deal not due to complete for several weeks. It is understood the pubs, which do not fit in with M&B's strategy, have been sold by London-based agent AG&G.
The deal is a significant boost for Faucet, taking it to around 26 venues. It acquired its 20th venue — The Prince of Wales in Battersea, for an undisclosed sum — in July.
Faucet Inn operates 15 pubs in London and the remainder outside of the capital, including sites in Southampton and Kent.
Faucet's pub portfolio is split between traditional English pubs and modern bars.
The company's website states: "Our vision for the future is to continue to build a name within the industry synonymous with excellence, passion and fun, whilst providing great memories for everyone that crosses the threshold of our bars."
