A Somerset pub enjoyed a 50% increase in profits last week after inviting Kylie Minogue for a one-off gig.
Rapper of the moment Tinie Tempah, Eliza Doolittle and recently-signed band Morning Parade joined Minogue at the Ring O'Bells in Compton Martin as a favour to their record label Parlophone.
The Butcombe Brewery pub was chosen as the label's president Miles Leonard lives in the village and is a regular customer.
Manager Reuben Goddard said planning for the top-secret event had been going on for six or seven months.
"It was a first and a last and it was absolutely brilliant," he said.
The night was arranged as a treat for Parlophone employees who were staying nearby.
Around 120 attended the night including 60 Parlophone employees, friends of Leonard and some lucky pub regulars who were invited ahead of the event.
"It was rocking," said Goddard. "Kylie was the most popular as the biggest star, but everyone was bouncing around to Tinie Tempah — I'll probably buy his CD — and Eliza Doolittle was outstanding."
Minogue celebrated with champagne while Doolittle poured and sampled a local Butcombe ale.
