Guest chefs take a bow at the Star
The Michelin-starred Star at Harome, North Yorkshire is hosting five guest chef nights featuring Michelin-starred chefs from 14 October.
Chef/owner Andrew Pern has invited chefs Nigel Haworth, owner of Northcote Manor and Ribble Valley Inns, Stephen Terry, who won his first Michelin star at the age of 25 and owns the Hardwick in Abergavenny, Wales, and Steven Doherty, head chef of the First Floor Café in Windermere.
Other guest chefs include Michelin-starred Paul Heathcote of Heathcotes Longridge Restaurant in Preston, Lancashire, and James Mackenzie of the Michelin-starred Pipe and Glass in South Dalton, East Yorkshire,
Tickets are £75 a person for five courses and a glass of Champagne and canapés.
"I've always been involved in guest evenings at restaurants around the country, so I called in some favours," said Pern. "It is good for our customers to see where I've gained inspiration and it's humbling to have great chefs say 'yes' straight away."
Each night will accommodate 60 guests and Pern is expecting all five nights to sell out.
