Highly-rated Lincolnshire multi-site operator Michael Thurlby will open his second pub of the year next month.
He will reopen a former Enterprise Inns site, the Exeter Arms, Easton-on-the-Hill, near Stamford, in the middle of September.
Earlier this year, he re-opened the Woolpack Inn in Newark, Nottinghamshire, the town's oldest hostelry, as the Prince Rupert, restoring many of the pub's original features, including the timber frame, and applied a traditional lime plaster to the walls downstairs.
Meanwhile, Thurlby has denied that he has put an offer in for the George at Stamford, which has a turnover of around £5m a year. He already owns the Crown Inn in Stamford, which offers high-quality boutique accommodation.
