Town & City Pub Company is running a series of food offers with The Sun newspaper as part of a World Cup campaign for Yates.
The first promotion for a free cheeseburger and chip worth £5.25 ran in the newspaper on the 12 June "with the best redemptions ever".
The offer is the first of a number of food and soft drink promotions planned in conjunction with newspaper, and an offer in today's Sun offers Yates customers a free diet coke and also a cheese and bacon burger (no chips) for £1.
A free cheeseburger is also available to customers signing up to the Yates's newsletter on the brand's website, which has just been relaunched. Customers registering for the newsletter print of a voucher for the free cheeseburger and chips.
The burger offer is ongoing for anyone who signs up. It is the first time the brand has given a free meal away via Yates's website.
The Sun has provided £25,000-worth each of footballs and vevuzelas across Yates's 67 sites, as well as sending 100 copies of the paper to every Yates's pub on England match days.
Yates's is also being used by ITV Sport for filming during the England games.
Yates's new website, www.weareyates.co.uk, features a guide to dancing.
Viewers can watch clips of customers dancing in the late night bars and also listen to top West End actress, Aoife Mulholland, star of West End hits 'Chicago' and 'Legally Blonde', analyse their moves.
New interactive tools, games and polls will be placed on the website in the next few weeks.
Customers will also have the opportunity to see photos of themselves and their friends on their night out on the website.
