Two football fans have become the first in Britain to be banned from watching the World Cup in any pub. The pair were arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly after England's first game, against the USA, on Saturday. Stephen Selwood, 21, and Kier Gower, 25, are also banned from attending Swindon Town and England games - The Mirror

Children as young as five should be taught about sex and the dangers of alcohol, under guidance from the NHS advisory body. The National Institute for health and Clinical Excellence, which advises Government on public health issues as well as approving drugs for use on the NHS, has called for improvement to the way sex, relationship and alcohol issues are taught. On alcohol, Nice has said children between the ages of five and eight should be taught how to resist pressures to drink and about the dangers of alcohol to prevent them finding alcohol at home and drinking it - The Telegraph
