The new £1.6m Joules Brewery in Shropshire has been completed today after more than a year in construction.
Standing at 22 metres high — taller than five double decker buses — the brewery in Market Drayton has beaten the estimated completion date by three months.
Site foreman Chris Blasé led a team of local builders throughout the construction, and added the final brick to the roof today.
"It's been the biggest project we've worked on." said Blasé. "We're very proud of this building because it means a lot to Market Drayton and to finally get to the top is the most satisfying feeling."
Managing director Steve Nuttall described the achievement as "a landmark day for everyone".
Market Drayton was chosen for the brewery for its pure mineral water that will be used and filtered to achieve a high level of purity.
