The Morning Advertiser has secured the official first play of the charity single released to help raise funds to save the Great British pub.
British born country singer and record producer Bob James has teamed up with Inez Ward's Justice for Licensees campaign in a bid to highlight the plight of the British pub. The co-writer of the song is Tim Bushong.
The song, called "What can we do now (save the pub)", will be released on Friday with money going to the Save the Great British Pub Campaign.
"I hope it brings interest to the campaign to Save the Great British pub," said James.
"I am also hopeful that it may entice customers old and new back into pubs.
"Pubs are important to the music industry and I am pleased to have been able to play my part in helping to save them."
Ward, also chair of British Pub Week, added: "Pubs are an important part of Britain's history, heritage and culture, they are worth fighting for and they are worth saving.
"I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to both Bob and Tim for all their hard work.
"I am quietly confident that this single will raise awareness and much needed funds to help save pubs."
The Morning Advertiser will bring you full details of where you can purchase the song from when it is released tomorrow. In the meantime you can listen to a sample below.
