Clarke joins the Timothy Taylor board

Keighley based Timothy Taylor, brewers of award-winning Landlord, has unveiled former M&B chief executive Tim Clarke as a non-exec.

Keighley based Timothy Taylor, brewers of award-winning Landlord, has unveiled former Mitchells & Butlers chief executive Tim Clarke to the company's board of directors as a non-executive director.

Clarke has been associated with the brewing and pub industry all his working life.

He spent eleven years in the city with stockbrokers Panmure Gordon where he specialised in the brewing and pub sector.

In 1990 he joined Bass and was appointed to the main board in 1996. A number of senior appointments followed including chief executive of Bass Leisure Retail.

He then became chief executive of Mitchells & Butlers in 2003 where he remained until last year.

Timothy Taylor's managing director Charles Dent said: "We are absolutely delighted to welcome Tim to the board.

"He brings with him great industry knowledge which I'm sure will be invaluable to the company's future".

Clarke added: "I have been a supporter of Taylor's beers for a long time and watched the growth of the company and the development of Landlord with particular interest.

"I know I am joining at an exciting time for the brewery and hope to contributing to Timothy Taylor's future development".

Clarke also joined the Hall & Woodhouse board as non-executive director this week.
