Hook Norton is kicking off its summer seasonal selection with Striker, an ale to cheer on the England football squad.
The 4.4% ABV ale is described as a "full-bodied summer sensation".It is a copper-coloured beer with aromas of soft fruit. According to the Oxfordshire brewer, it has a moreish, malty, smooth, well-balanced taste and it is sweet with a slightly zingy bitterness and a pleasant aftertaste.
"Win, lose or draw Striker will be the star of the bar this summer," said managing director James Clarke.
In addition, the brewer's Cotswold Lion will be on sale on draught throughout June as part of its Brewers Selection series. The 4.2% ABV brew - a pale, fruity ale - was first brewed in 2006 to celebrate the work of the Cotswolds Conservation Board.
