Sky is to screen two rugby union games in 3D at pubs this weekend.
Rugby is the second sport to get the full 3D treatment, following football earlier this year. Sky will screen the Guinness Premiership final between Saracens and Leicester on Saturday at 5pm and England against the Barbarians on Sunday at 4.45pm.
"It changes the axis of how we film rugby union, and it'll change the axis for our viewers as well," said Martin Turner, Sky Sports' executive producer.
"It'll be rugby union as you've never seen it before because we are changing the geography of our cameras to maximise the unique perspective 3D provides.
"Plus, 3D coverage will give us a new dimension editorially in terms of scrums and head on pictures of attacking play."
Sky commentator Stuart Barnes added: "There's something about the set plays unique to rugby union that frame very well in 3D."
Guinness marketing manager Paul Cornell said Diageo said the 3D games would help licensees drive footfall.
