JD Wetherspoon has launched a week-long curry festival in 64 sites in the North West.

JD Wetherspoon has launched a curry festival in 64 sites in the North West.

The festival which started on 10 May runs until Sunday.

A spokeswoman said: "The festival will enable both new and existing customers the opportunity to try Wetherspoon's already successful Thursday Curry Club at not only a discounted price but the chance to enjoy it every day of the week."

A choice of 10 curries, which are offered on the company's regular curry club menu, and a drink are being offered.The curries all come with basmati rice, naan bread, mango chutney and poppodoms.

Two guest curries are also being featured lamb chettinadu and Goan chicken curry.

Wetherspoon claims on their Curry Club menu to be "the nation's biggest curry house every Thursday night."

The spokeswoman added: "The festival is a great opportunity for Wetherspoon's to remind the North West about their great value for money Indian meal meal that has run every Thursday across the UK for more than 10 years."

Wetherspoon curry supplier the Authentic Food Company has teamed up with Phoenix Brewery to create a bespoke ale which matches well with curry. The Authentic ale is being served during the festival during the 64 North West sites.

The company's biggest ever wine festival starts on the 24 May until the 10 June featuring wines from World-Cup-winning countries.
