Heartstone Inns turnover nears £3m
Multiple pub operator Heartstone Inns has boosted turnover to nearly £3m in its most recent financial year.
The company made a pre-tax loss of £456,315 for the year to 31 December 2009 — a reduction on the loss of £549,975 it made the year before.
The company, which was originally founded by Stuart Hawthorn and James Birch, saw like-for-like sales increase by 7% in its most recent year.
Operating profits at pub level were much improved, rising from £137,493 to £416,423. Heartsone's pub estate includes the Hare & Hounds, Putts Corner, Devon, the Butchers Arms, at Sheepscombe, Gloucestershire, the Cricketers, at Shroton, Dorset and the Digger's Rest, at Woodbury Satterton, Devon.
