Managed pub operator Barracuda has appointed its first ever digital marketing director to help maximise its use of social media.
Simon Gaske, who has previously worked at Novus Leisure for four years and more recently at Hay House Publishing, will report in to head of marketing Myles Doran.
He will also focus on increasing pre-booked party sales.
"This is a fantastic opportunity and I am delighted to join Barracuda in this new position," said Gaske.
"It has already established some online marketing initiatives with its Smith & Jones and Varsity brands, but there is a lot more to be gained through a strategic, sustained approach."
Matt Nowell has also recently joined Barracuda as area manager for the North West from Punch Taverns.
