Craft Guild of Chefs appoints new chairman
Award winning chef Andrew Green has been named the new chairman of the Craft Guild of Chefs following a unanimous members' vote.
The Sodexo general manager and former Restaurant of the Year winner plans to make "tough decisions" to take the Guild forward.
"Each previous chairman has brought something different to the position, and the Guild as a professional body has benefited immensely from their contributions," he said. "I will also bring my own style.
"There will, as always, be tough decisions to be made along the way, ones which I and the new committee will make, always with the Guild's best interests in mind."
Christopher Basten, executive chef at the Marriott, County Hall, will take over from Green as vice chairman.
Green replaces Nick Vadis.
