The Fair Trade Spirits Company has added a liqueur made from goji berries to its Fair brand.

Berries for the new Fair Goji liqueur are grown in the Himalayas and are shipped to France before being processed.

The spirit is said to have notes of cherry, cranberry and plum and is aimed at the cocktail trade.

Suggested recipes include the Goji French Martini: this includes 35ml of vodka and 20ml of Fair Goji liqueur combined with 20ml of pineapple juice.

Fair Goji is the second product for the premium Fair Trade brand, which launched in November with a vodka made from organic quinoa (which is pronounced "keen-wah") grown in Bolivia, wheat and spring water.

The London-based company was started by Frenchman Jean-François Daniel, along with Alexandre Koiransky, last summer.
