An Oxford pub will have a beer brewed in its honour after being picked as a top real ale favourite by Greene King.
The Fishes, in North Hinksey, Oxford, has been chosen by head brewer John Bexon as the pub of the month for its excellent cask quality.
Each month a member of Greene King's Head Brewer's Club is singled out for the quality and performance of its cask.
Katie Robertson, general manager, The Fishes said she was delighted to win the award.
"The gift of our very own, unique beer was a fantastic way to start the New Year.
"At The Fishes we have taken time to train our staff so that they can highlight specific beers for our customers to enjoy with their food. We are going to have a lot of fun sharing our very own brew with our locals over the next month."
The Fishes is owned by Peach Pubs, a group of 13 independently run gastro-pubs across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire.
