Pubs that screen live football are being urged to sign up to a website so customers know where they can watch games.
The site - useyourlocal.com - is giving pubs across the country the chance to register with the site to show that they screen matches.
Pub customers who visit the site can then easily find out where the nearest pubs are that are screening the game.
Registering can be done with the simple click of a button and is free until the end of January. Pubs do not need to be members to use the service.
Stuart Mills, founder of useyourlocal.com, said: "If you want to let people know you are showing football in your pub it could not be simpler and with a World Cup later this year this is a great help to pubs.
"It is plain as the nose on your face that this will be beneficial to business."
Useyourlocal.com was launched last year primarily for pubs to register as places where customers' mail could be delivered if they were out.
It now has more than 1,200 members who benefit from extra services by paying £50 a month - such as being able to provide details of the games they are showing. It also has details of around 70,000 pubs, bars and clubs listed on the site.
Mills has also teamed up with Samsung who are introducing an "augmented reality" application onto their mobile phones which will allow users to click on a map and find the nearest pubs to them.
The service will also indicate whether or not the pubs show football.
