Brunning & Price buys Whitbread pub
Brunning & Price, the pub operator owned by the Restaurant Group, has bought the freehold of Whitbread's Nevill Crest & Gun in Kent, which currently trades as a Brewer's Fayre.
The pub was sold jointly by Christie + Co and Gerald Eve. The Grade II-Listed property, which is believed to date back some 500 years, features a main bar with two seating areas, an 84-cover restaurant, a 90-cover beer garden, and a circa 45-space car park.
The site also includes a flat, bedsit, and attic rooms, plus manager's four-bedroom accommodation within a detached converted barn.
Brunning & Price currently operates 16 pubs, 13 in the North West of England and three in the South East
The Nevill is part of a package of four high-quality public houses, which Christie + Co and Gerald Eve were instructed to jointly market by Whitbread at the start of August.
Noel Moffitt, director at Christie + Co, said: "After receiving a high level of interest in the Nevill Crest & Gun, we are delighted to have secured an established and successful operator such as Brunning & Price for this well-located, high quality site."
