Brains is brewing a unique beer to mark 15 former Wales rugby captains' trek to climb Kilimanjaro.
The Welsh brewer is the headline sponsor of the Brains SA Captains Climb, in which the rugby heroes will tackle some of Africa's highest mountains in September 2010.
All the money raised will go towards the Stepping Stones Charity at Velindre Hospital in Cardiff
The event is the brainchild of Welsh rugby team sports photographer Huw Evans, whose wife Sue was recently diagnosed with lung cancer.
A percentage of sales of the special beer by Brains, which has been designed to celebrate the challenge, will go towards the cause.
"I think this choice of beer is a good one and combines some of the key ingredients and flavours that we can deliver in beer," said head brewer Bill Dobson. "It has some nice fruity hoppiness and some balanced malt flavours - it's a beer that's unique in characteristic. We hope that the beer, which is yet to be named, will be available towards the end of the year."
