Moleface pubco to open fourth site
Nottinghamshire-based pubco Moleface is opening a fourth site.
The Royal Oak Pub and Kitchen in Radcliffe-upon-Trent opens mid-November.
The Enterprise lease is currently closed for refurbishment, with £150,000 being spent on the site. The pub's lease was bought for a nil premium.
Moleface opened its first site, Punch lease the Larwood & Voce, in 2007 followed by Enterprise lease the Lord Nelson, in Burton Joyce, and Punch's the Wollaton, in Wollaton, which opened last year. Nicola Thompson, head chef at the Lord Nelson, moves as head chef to the Royal Oak.
Owner John Molnar said: "We are really excited about the new site. It will follow the same formula as our other pubs. There will be a bigger focus on bar snacks."
The site will offer bar snacks such as English pepperami and mugs of broth served at the end of the bar.
The company's Wollaton has installed a marquee at the site to cater for Christmas parties with a menu offering three courses at £19.95. The Christmas menu runs from 4 to 23 December and is served buffet-style.
Starters include home-made pâté, terrines, cheeses, roasted vegetables, chutneys and pickles served with crusty bread.
Mains offer butter-roasted Norfolk turkey crown, stuffing, pigs in blankets, cranberry sauce, slow braised beef, horseradish & herb dumplings, ale gravy, posh fish pie, Marmite roast potatoes, honey glazed roots and braised red cabbage.
Desserts feature sticky toffee pudding and toffee sauce, Taraís Christmas pudding & brandy sauce; chocolate pots & cookies and fig & blueberry slice.
All Moleface pubs now have a weekly steak night every Tuesday, which offers 28-day aged steaks from 8oz to 32oz.
