The food at Gordon Ramsay's Warrington pub in Maida Vale has been named as one of the most disappointing in London.

Ramsay's pub was ranked ninth in the "most disappointing cooking" list in the new Harden's London Restaurants guide book.

It was mixed news for the celeb chef as four of his venues appeared in the top 10 most disappointing cooking list but his Murano restaurant was crowned the best new restaurant in the Capital.

"Murano's success shows the Ramsay group still has what it takes," said guide editor Peter Harden. "The year's survey results, though, confirm there are some very deep-seated problems in the group, and we have to hope that Murano's success marks a real turning point."

The Anchor & Hope in Southwark, run by Michael Belben, was named top of the best pub food list followed by Fuller's Churchill Arms in Kensington and Tom and Ed Martin's The Gun in the Docklands.

The top 10 pubs for food are:

1. The Anchor & Hope (1)

2. Churchill Arms (9)

3. The Gun (2)

4= The Eagle (6)

4= The Thomas Cubitt (7)

6. The Narrow (3)

7. Harwood Arms (recent opening)

8. The Engineer (5)

9= The Anglesea Arms (4)

9= Bull & Last (recent opening)
