As the Ashes victory celebrations continue, the official beer of English cricket has revealed how the series boosted its sales.
Marston's Pedigree sold an additional million pints across the country during the five-match series which culminated in England clinching the Ashes at the Oval on Sunday.
Marston's' seasonal beer for June and July - Ashes Ale - also beat record sales with 350,000 pints sold over the eight weeks.
Des Gallagher, Marston's marketing manager, said: "As a passionate supporter of the England team, we've always had faith that victory over the Aussies was in the making.
"Now our faith and loyalty have been rewarded not only with a historic victory, but with the knowledge that more cricket fans than ever before have chosen Pedigree to accompany the world class action.
"The victory is even more sweet as it comes on our 175th anniversary of brewing. We can't thank the boys enough for a winning Test series we'll always remember."
Throughout the series, Marston's ran an advertising' campaign featuring satirical adverts poking fun at the Aussies.
This week, it launched the final advert in the series 'Britannia Rules. Matilda Waltzes'.
