Anti-pubco lobby group Fair Pint has invited Punch and Enterprise to a summit meeting to discuss a way forward for the pub industry following the damning Business and Enterprise Committee report.
The Fair Pint Summit meeting will take place on 14 July at Westminster and invites have gone out to the two major pubcos, front bench members of the three main political parties, brewers, trade associations and members of the Business and Enterprise Committee.
The summit, Calling time on the tie: the way forward?, will "debate the steps that need to be taken to secure the future of the pub sector in the UK".
The Fair Pint invitation said: "We are keen to bring all stakeholders together to look at the future of the pub sector and build consensus on the way forward.
"We believe it will be important to ensure that the Government takes action to support the Select Committee's recommendations in order to deliver fairness for UK landlords and consumers who suffer as a result of tied lease agreements.
"Our summit is intended to bring together Parliamentarians as well as organisations and individuals with an interest in this issue and is a genuine attempt to ensure that all voices are heard."
The summit will be the second attempt at bring together stakeholders following the mediation meeting two weeks ago. The second mediation meeting is due to take place on 9 July.
Fair Pint has yet to receive any replies to the invite, which went out at the end of last week.
