Police chiefs have blamed the disturbing trend on binge-drinking and so-called 'ladette culture', warning that Britain's young women are increasingly challenging their male counterparts when it comes to drunken yobbishness and booze-fuelled brawling - Daily Mail

Strict curbs on the use of CCTV and identity scanners in pubs and clubs are to be demanded by the Government's privacy watchdog in a new bid to prevent the growth of a "surveillance society" in Britain. The Information Commissioner's Office, which is responsible for protecting personal data, will make the call because of concern that police are sometimes pressuring landlords into filming or gathering personal details about their customers without proper justification - London Evening Standard
