Makers of a vodka-based test tube have hit out at Portman Group for blacklisting the drink.
Portman said Rampant TT's packaging encouraged down-in-one consumption, publicity material promotes sexual success and its alcoholic nature is unclear.
The company's website was also found to be in breach of its code for using images of consumers who appeared to be drunk and under-25. Retailers have been asked by Portman not to stock the brand.
"This company has shown a profound disregard for the industry's responsibility standards," said Portman chief executive David Poley.
"It's totally unacceptable to publicise some of the worst aspects of consumer behaviour in alcohol promotions. This type of dubious marketing could worsen the drinking culture and invites criticism of the industry."
Portman cited an image of a young woman on its website holding a sign saying: "I'm off my tits."
But Dave Fassou, director of Rampant TT's parent company 247 Enterprises, said the picture was removed "straight away" after complaints were made. He said responsible drinking messages are included on the product.
"I'm very disappointed to see the ruling. We adhered as much as we could to the Portman Group's code. Everything they've asked for, we have done to the best of our ability.
"There are lots of products out there that are far more problematic."
Up to 1,000 pubs and clubs currently stock Rampant TT, said Fassou.
