Thatchers' new blush
A pink cider designed for female drinkers is the latest concept from Thatchers Cider.
Katy Rosé, which is crafted in Somerset from English Katy apples, takes its characteristic blush from the colour of the apple to produce a light and fruity pink cider.
"The result is a stylish pink cider that has the appearance of a rosé wine, but the light and fruity taste of a contemporary cider," said MD Martin Thatcher.
"The fusion of two of the country's most dynamic drink styles creates a new approach to cider, which we believe people will love."
The cider, which at 5.4% abv has a lower alcoholic strength than the traditional Thatchers Katy at 7.4%, is being targeted firmly at the female market, according to the producer.
"At Thatchers we have always thrived on coming up with new ideas that wil keep the industry moving forward and our customers wanting more - whether it be developments in the orchards, or new products from our cider makers.
"Katy Rosé is elegant, stylish and classy and will appeal to the aspiring professional female who loves to socialise."
